Oh yummy!!!

I just went and picked up our first bountiful basket. What a blessing this is going to be for us. I haven't seen good produce in a long time!!! I am so excited.

Take a hint!!!!

Matt and I had put dating on the back burner. Maybe we were just lazy. Maybe we were in school, and had crazy busy callings, and lots of little kids and were never ever together for the past 7 years. We have been incredibly blessed with being madly in love with each other, and have done rather well without dating. We always said we would date when Matt was done with school, just to have some time together without craziness (well there's always craziness with us, just no kid crazy). So here we are a year out of school and nothing, maybe it was laziness ;) Anyway the dating divas website had a great idea for a hint box, I changed it to a jar, just cause I like jars more than boxes :) We thought we would give it a try.

The idea is you and your spouse write down date ideas, or things you like on little cards. Then if it's your turn to plan a date, you can pick an idea out of the jar. Who knows if we'll use it, but I had fun making it.

Here are some little cards I made for us to write our ideas on. It took me forever, but I was in my craft room so it was bliss!!!

Here is the bed that Matt and I made . It is the farm house bed from knock off wood . I posted it on facebook but forgot to do it here . It's a king size and we had to change the plans a bit to get it to work with the mattress we got on overstock.com ! $2.95 to ship a mattress to our house . AMAZING . ( I'm not done with the finish on the bed, someday when I remember when we go out of town, I will get the glaze I want)

So far it hasn't fallen apart . But I have to confess, I was a little worried the head board was going to crush me in my sleep :o) So there it is . And as a side note a king sized bed is AWESOME!!! Most nights we end up sleeping by eachother on one side, so it's almost a waste, but let me tell you, on nights when 4 or 5 kids join us in bed, it's worth it's weight in gold :o)

Sneak Peek :)

Here is our before of the laundry room. I painted the trim so it's no longer ugly unfinished wood. Love the grey power box?? Ya I hate it too, hmm what to do.

Here is a sneak peek at what we've done so far. Matt drove to Utah and got some bead board. I love it. We used the door off our old TV cabinet to cover the oh so lovely power box.. It's a start, lots more plans in my head. If I lived by a home depot we would be done :)

Way to go Emma!!!!!

We are so proud of Emma and her team for winning the district spelling bee for 2nd grade! They out spelled two other schools to win. It might be a few years before she will fit into the shirt :)

Love where I live!!!

This sign is about 30 miles from area 51. We didn't get any closer this trip due to the screaming 16 month old. Noah is so excited to see it. Hopefully we will make the trip soon. ( don't worry, I know there is not much to see, but can you really live that close to something like that and not go see it)

Craft time!!!

I have has this project sitting around for months. Yeah for my craft room and for getting it done! I have the perfect place in our bedroom for this :)

Little Ivy

She is a lot of work, but look how cute she is. She is 14 weeks old, and only weighs 2.6 lbs. The kids love her lots, and I am thankful that Matt has joined the dark side and left his animal hating days behind!!!

IT'S GREAT TO BE 8!!!!!!!!!

Can you believe it, Emma is 8!!! I am still in shock. She is so grown up and it happened so fast. In my mind she is still that sweet little girl with crazy pig tails who had her grandpa McMullin wrapped around her little finger. The picture above is of Emma on the cruise we took her on for her birthday :o) Well maybe not, but we did go to Salt Lake for some fun, and the picture is of Emma and Owen on Nephi's boat. They had a blast.

More and more presents :o) Emma is one amazing girl. She is so sweet and has such a soft heart. She is an amazing sister, and is so helpful to her mom. She LOVES animals. I mean LOVES them. I am thankful for the show animal hoarders, because I think if she had never seen the show, she may have become one ;o) She is an amazing reader. She is in the 2nd grade and just tested at a 6th grade reading level! She almost never gets in trouble and tries so hard to do what is right. She is SO excited to be baptized in March. Her baptism is on the 5th so since everyone is dying to come see our awesome town this is the perfect excuse to come ;o) I am so proud of her!!!!

It was kind of hard to find pictures of Emma for this post because most of them look like this!!! She is a bit camera shy.... WE LOVE YOU EMMA!!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LEVI!!!

Levi is now one. He is so sweet and such a good little kid. Owen said that he HAD to have a crown for his birthday and he HAD to color it. He did a great job :o)

We got him some waffle blocks for his birthday! He loves them, I love them, and the kids love them. We are always building something new!

Levi is very sweet, and kind. He loves his brothers and sisters. They take him everywhere. I can never find him. One minute he is pulling all my pots out and I turn around and he is gone. I will look all over the house and he almost always ends up in a kids room. They always come and take him and play with him. We really have an amazing group of kids.

Levi, like almost every kid I know LOVES Noah. He is always getting him to laugh.

We have a few book worms in our house, and I am pretty sure Levi thinks he can read. He is always grabbing books and holding them just like this card and yelling. It is pretty cute!

Here he is hanging out with the boys. Noah and Owen were playing and they came to find Levi. Noah didn't think it was right to play without all the boys :o) We feel so blessed to have this little guy in our family!!!

Another Little Walker!!!!!!

We are so excited to have another Walker in our house. Levi is all over the place now. He has been walking for about a month now. He LOVES to follow the kids around. He also loves going into the girls room and finding toys that are perfect for choking on! There is no turning back now, he is on the move :o)

Oh, and I wonder how many of you saw the title of this post and thought that I was pregnant??? ;o)

A little bit of Christmas

So here is a fast little look at our Christmas... We have had tons of fun. (It may look like I am crushing my Libbie, but worry not, she was not harmed)

We had lots of presents to open, It was SO much fun to have our first Christmas in our house!!

Levi had his First Christmas. He is growing up so fast.

We got to get out of town and go to temple square. It was beautiful, and the kids really enjoyed it.

We had even more fun! Don't worry we almost got in trouble with the law.

Really! There is nothing to do in this town. He must have been the police of fun killing. Don't worry we kept going until the kids were frozen ;o)

More Christmas fun.Oh, and don't be fooled. We live in Nevada, but up in the mountains. We got about 2 feet of snow in a day and a half, and another 6 inches the day after. And don't feel bad for Matt, he was at work and I had to shovel. I told him we are buying a snow blower, he said that I was doing a good job and there was no need ;O)

Here is what Santa got for the kids. They love it. Even Levi. If we are upstairs and the kids turn it on in the basement Levi screams and laughs until we take him down and let him play. We are going to have a very fun winter!

Slacker

Wow, July 6Th was the last time that I was on here. That is sad. Let me just say that it has been a very hard and trying few months. Things are getting better, and I will have more time, a lot more time! I would post a few pictures but I don't have any on this computer. So I will post some pictures soon, that is if anyone is still checking. I am sure everyone has given up on me!
